Operational Tax Manager

My client is a leading professional services firm that are looking to build out their Operational Tax service offering, as a result of increased growth. To bolster this new arm, the Group Tax team aims to hire an Operational Taxes Manager. This role will oversee and handle the firms diverse operational tax compliance and reporting duties.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Conducting assessments of operational tax risks to pinpoint potential areas of concern.
• Comparing operational tax structures with industry-leading alternatives for bench-marking purposes.
• Assessing global obligations related to withholding taxes, capital gains, and transaction taxes.
• Evaluating operational tax duties, ensuring adherence to regulations, and providing guidance on an effective target operating model.
• Strengthening and nurturing vital client connections through exceptional service delivery: overseeing the effective execution of tax projects with a focus on technical precision and a pragmatic, business-oriented approach.
• Spotting and advancing opportunities: leveraging insights from previous projects, technical training, and collaborative knowledge sessions to provide valuable input for projects and proposals.

Qualifications:

• ACA / CA / CTA/ Law qualification or equivalent
• Significant operational tax experience and strong tax technical skills
• Strong client relationship management skills
